Back to the Lime Green Cotton Sweater

On Tuesday night finished the baby afghan for the UMW circle and returned to working on the lime green cotton sweater. Did not take pictures of either the wedding present or the afghan. The afghan was simple stockinette stitch knitting in baby blue and pale lavender stripes. I have some patterns for more elaborate ones that I may do later but want to get all of these cotton sweaters done up that I have yarn for. So it is good to be back on track with the sweaters.

New Project begun

I am now working on a knitted baby blanket to be donated to one of the United Methodist Women's circle at my church. They collect baby items to donate to some local non-profit organizations that have this need. It is stripped pale blue and lavender which was left over some some of my sweater projects.

Finished another project

Well completed the wedding present. A small crocheted rug in navy blue, two navy blue potholders, and a navy and white kitchen towel. Didn't do a dishcloth because many people today do not use them because of possible germs. Although the germ issue can be handled by regularly putting the cloth in the dishwasher, washer is only good if your water gets really hot. My husband does our laundry and everything gets washed in lukewarm water. Therefore, I have him put our dishcloths in the dishwasher when he does a load of dishes each night.

Project postponed

Had to stop working on the lime green cotton sweater that I was knitting. I want to make a kitchen ensemble for the daughter of a friend who is getting married in May. Her primary kitchen color is navy. So I am knitting navy potholders, crocheting a navy rug, and have a navy and white stripped kitchen towel that I will crochet a towel topper onto. Then I want to make a quick baby afghan or two for a church group (United Methodist Women circle) who are collecting baby items to provide to some local charaties. Once I get those projects done I will resume my personal projects that I have already purchased the material for; several cotton sweaters.

First work day post Giles

This post is really not about any of my creations but is more about needing to vent in a safe forum. Giles was the one male in an office of four therapists and two receptionists. Friday was his last day. Today the co-worker and therapist we all tend to call "The Diva" has already struck. She refused to help out with a group so that another therapist could be an hour late. It would mean doing a group of 12 people and she refused. Also she later complained to me that she just couldn't seem to get all of her paperwork done with two new admissions and everything. Yet as she said this she was playing solitaire on her cellphone. I never could understand how you can play a game on the computer, cellphone, or other technological device and still complain that you can't get your work done. I also had two admissions today and had no problem at all getting the paperwork done. It will be very interesting to see how it all works out when the office becomes six females in two weeks when the new therapist come on board.

Did get to do a little more work on the current sweater. Want to hurry up and finish this one so I can work on a couple of charity projects. Darned old powerpoints just keep getting in the way.

Not really been able to get much done the last few days. Have been working on Powerpoints for work now that I have the new computer up and running. Am over three fourths of the way finished with the back of the Lime green cotton sweater. Hopefully since I am getting to leave work early because they are having a special open house I can get to it after I do some work on a Powerpoint presentation on Karpman Drama Triangle.
