First Blanket Turn-in Day

Not a very good turn out but did get some things which were then turned into the missions office and dropped off at the Project Linus turn-in site. Somewhat disappointed.

Blanket Turn-in Day Tomorrow

Well tomorrow is the day when the Asbury Blanketeers turn in their blankets and other knit or crocheted projects. I am really praying for a good turn out. My co-chair has already notified me that she did not get her blanket done. However, I have completed several and am currently working on one to go with the booties, mittens, and hat that I have already done. I still have yarn for many more projects.

Getting ready for blanket turn-in day

Wednesday of this week is the first Blanket Turn-in Day for the Asbury Blanketteers. I need to get my finished blankets washed and placed in plastic bags. I also have some hats and scarves ready to send to Red Bird Mission that also need to be washed and placed into plastic bags. Then before Wednesday need to purchase two large plastic bins to use on turn-in day. Really hope there is a good turn out.

Finished another blanket for Project Linus

Finished another blanket for Project Linus. This one is another diagonally knit and it is done in varigated yarn. Soft pastel baby colors of yellow, blue, pink, and lavender. I also did a child's scarf in the same yarn and am currently working on a hat, scarf, and mitten set out of Red Heart Kids yarn in lime green, teal blue, rose pink, lavender, and purple. The yarn color on the package is "playful".

Half-way

I am halfway though the next baby blanket for Project Linus. This one is knit on the diagnol. So far have not made any mistakes. I did come close last night when several stitches came off the left hand needle just as I got to the end of the row. However, I was able to get them back on without dropping any. Next I think I'll work on making some children's hats and scarves. Got some really neat multicolored yarns the last time I went to Hobby Lobby.
